The show is produced by Omation, the animation division of O Entertainment, in association with Nicktoons Studios. Plot

The plot generally revolves around Otis (a male cow) and his barnyard friends. Otis wants to goof around, but is responsible and must protect the inhabitants of the farm. He and his friends Pip (a mouse), Pig (a Pig), Peck (a rooster), Freddy (a ferret), Abby (a cow), Duke (a dog) and Bessy (a cow) have many crazy adventures, while at the same time help Otis protect the farm. According to the DVD commentary on Barnyard, the underground world of gophers will be revealed. On the preview, it indicates that Otis may still play pranks on the humans. This will be Steve Oedekerk's next animated series for Nickelodeon, as he was one of the executive producers (but not creator) for The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. Also, as noticed in commercials, Otis will not be played by his voice actor in the film, Kevin James. Instead, Chris Hardwick voices him here.
