The most famous Mongolian was Genghis Khan, the most famous Mughal was Akbar,Emperor of India. These days Mughals can be found all over the world. Mirza is a persian name and has many similiar meanings. Some scholars say Mirza refers to a noble, or Prince. The last name Baig comes fromt the Turkic word Beg, that comes from the old Turkish word Bey, which means military commander. Mirza [insert real name] would've probably been the title of a leading General of noble blood. It would translate to Prince [insert name] Commander of the [name of the army].

The Mughal Rulers as previously mentioned, are Muslims who came from outside India. The Mongolians were invading at about the same time as the Turks. The Turks married Persians and the Mongolians met with the Turkic_Persians and married them. Creating a group called the 'Mughals'. The Mughals then conquered the majority of the Indian subcontinent.

The Mughals brought with them not only a perfected art of war, but also poetry, the arts, and extravagant calligraphic masonry and architecture. Muslim design was second to none throughout the world. The Mughal architects did mosaics with calligraphy since drawing pictures is not allowed, or considered haraam.
