Plot
Scientists believe that 65,000,000 years ago, a meteorite's crash on Earth killed off the dinosaurs, but in truth, it split Earth into two parallel universes: The Earth we know is referred to as "Another-Earth" by the residents of the Earth where dinosaurs were still the superior species, Dino Earth. Overtime, the Dragonoid and Blastasaurs races came into being on DinoEarth but were at war with the Evoliens, enities that emerged from the meteor. The two Earths were separate until Asuka, a Dragnoid from DinoEarth, arrived on Earth via a transdimensional portal. But he was followed by the Evoliens in the spaceship Anamolicarus and the three Blastasaurs under their control. As Blastasaur Tyrannosaurus attacked Tokyo, a call was sent out to three destined ones who possessed Dino GUTS to gain the powers to tame the three beasts. Together with their Blastasaur partners, the three become Abarangers to protect their dimension from the Evoliens. In time another Abaranger appeared, but he took the name "AbareKiller" and fought the others while the Evoliens carry out their ultimate goal: the resurrection of their god. Allies - Emiri Imanaka (今中 笑里, Imanaka Emiri?): Emiri is a high school student. When the Blastasaurs first came to earth, Emiri heard their call and almost became AbareYellow. Unfortunately, her body was unable to support the transformation, but Emiri contributes for the team, such as suggesting names (she came up with Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger, AbareMax and SenpuuGoraiAbarenou when the other heroes donated their Dinoguts to Abarenou in Abaranger vs. Hurricaneger). She tries her hardest to become an Abaranger… she eventually does after Tensaikku's defeat in terms of AbarePink (or "AbarePig" as Yukito called her and in the minds of some fans). One of her many mishaps are the time that Voffa tried to turn her into a Giganoid. Later in the series, Emiri creates her own AbarePink suit (of course without powers), in order to convince her parents to let her stay at the Dino Curry House, but this suit lasted for only a single episode. Emiri also nicknames herself as "Emi-pon." The epilogue of the show and Dekaranger VS Abaranger seems to imply that she is in a relationship with Yukito.
- Ryuunnosuke Sugishita (杉下 竜之介, Sugishita Ryūnnosuke?): Sugishita runs a curry restaurant: DinoHouse, which is the Abarangers' base of operations. When the Blastasaurs' first came to earth, Sugishita heard their call and almost became AbareBlue. Unfortunately, his body was unable to support the transformation. Kind and supporting of the Abaranger, he often gives advice and helps the team whenever possible. After the fight against the Evolians, Sugishita's curry business became extremely successful and resulted in him receiving great wealth and setting up a global chain of Dino House curry restaurants, as seen in Dekaranger VS Abaranger. However, he lost ownership to Yatsudenwani. Emiri nicknames him as "Suke-san."
- Mai Hakua (伯亜 舞, Hakua Mai?): Ryouga's 5-year-old niece. Ryouga's brother and sister-in-law died in a car crash, leaving Mai in Ryouga's care. Mai thinks of Ryouga as a father and always cheers him on when he fights as Abared. Starting at the end of ep. 39, Kasumi chooses Mai to be the only one to see her. In ep. 41, a virus transforms human people into Barmia and Mai was infected as well. Kasumi warns the Abaranger that the Barmia are Mai's friends, but Mai was cured when her Dino Guts awoke when she cheered for the Abarangers after seeing Ryouga and the others in danger from the Barmia. After the events of the show, Mai stayed in California with Ryouga.
- Trinoid #12: Yatsudenwani (トリノイド12号 ヤツデンワニ, Torinoido Juuni-go: Yatsudenwani?) (18, 21-Dekaranger vs. Abaranger): Crocodile + Japanese Fatsia + telephone. A powerful Trinoid who was seemingly killed by AbareKiller before he could do any harm. But in reality, he was captured and forced to be Mikoto's manservant, making Yatsudenwani a disgrace to his "dad", Mikela. To redeem himself, he decided to capture the other Abarangers, resulting with his crush on Ranru and stalked her on occasion via phone. But soon, after the Killer Giganoid incident, Yatsudenwani moved into Dino House and became a member of its staff. In #44, Yatsudenwani used a new power, "TeleCroco Dream", to put the Abarangers into a deep slumber until they woke up and retaliated with Super Dino Bomber. However, the entire episode was just a bad dream. In the end, Yatsudenwani chose to stay on AnotherEarth as it's his home now. In Dekaranger vs. Abaranger, it's revealed that he now runs the flourishing Dino House and its branches as CEO. Furthermore, Yatsudenwani held an artifact capable of resurrecting Dezumozorlya. In addition, he glomped Ban/DekaRed mistaking him for Ranru and easedropped on Ranru, Emiri, Umeko, and Jasmine while they were bathing resulting in a severe beating during the group's victory meal.
- Mahoro: Asuka's love interest from DinoEarth. When she and her brother entered the Garden Palace to end the fighting, they were captured by Dezumozorlya who showed her that Asuka "abandoned" them before using her to create Lije. Since then, Mahoro discarded her name and became the Destruction Messenger Jeanne (ジャンヌ, Jannu?), fixated on killing Asuka for betraying her. After killing Geildon, she used the Cursed Armor whenever she needed to, though hunted by the past thanks to Kasumi. After the explosion of the Anamolicarus, Jeanne was restored to her original self at Asuka's sacrifice to wear the armor once more, though Mahoro assumed her Evolien identity to free Asuka from the Cursed Armor. After that, she helped Abarangers in secret until Dezumozorlya learned of her treachery. In the end, she was about to relinquish her guilt and return with Askua to DinoEarth to start their lives a new. Her name in the Power Rangers: Dino Thunder episode Lost and Found in Translation is "Missy". She return to Earth during the ending of Dekaranger vs. Abaranger to join the party.
- Kasumi: Kasumi was the "other side" of Lije, the only part unaffected by Dezumozorlya. She occasionally leaves Lije's body to stop the fight between Asuka and Mahoro. However, once Lije turned into Lijewel, Kasumi was forced to leave their body for good and lived with the Abarangers, befriending Mai after using her to maintain her existence. Kasumi would later remerge into Lijiel to purge Dezumoryla from her, causing them to regress into a baby. The infant, soon re-named Mikoto after Dr. Mikoto Nakadai, still possessed Lije/Lijewel's ability to travel to between worlds. She return to Earth during the ending of Dekaranger vs. Abaranger and Boukenger vs Super Sentai, both which she brought her father to where he was needed.
- Princess Freesia (フリージア姫, Furījia-hime?): Appears in the Abaranger Movie. When the gang are having a fun summer party at the beach, she appears in front of Ryouga and HanaBinkiVenus literally drops from the sky to capture her. There is a great myth through the Dragon People in DinoEarth that a princess guards the two evil Blastasaurus' on an Arctic island. Asuka was surprised that the legend he grew up with was true. The Bakulaser had been broken in half. The other piece was excavated by humans and put in a museum. Ryouga and Freesia sneak in and steal it. He uses his Dino GUTS to merge it together. Turns out she really was Garuvuidei in disguise and used the fully formed Bakulaser to call upon the Blastasaurus'. The real Freesia was inside of the Bakulaser and wasn't able to come out. She also expressed affection for Ryouga. She commended the Abaranger for their bravery and went off with the Bakulaser.
- Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger: Meet up in the Abaranger vs. Hurricaneger special to fight the Space Ninja Janiiga. First, the Abarangers found Yousuke (Hurricane Red) fighting Wendinu and Furabiijo, enemies of the Hurricanegers. When the Hurricanegers presumably defeated them, they fell into a warp hole that transferred them into the Evolien castlehold. They had joined the Evoliens. Even though the Hurricanegers and Abarangers had trouble adjusting to this sudden event at first, eventually they collaborated to fight off the enemies. Yousuke (Hurricane Red) briefly made an appearance in the special Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger VS Abaranger, but it was actually Kazak in disguise, tricking the Abarangers and leading them into injury.
- Heavenly Ninja Shurikenger: Thought to be dead near the Hurricaneger finale, Shurikenger, along with Revolver Mammoth, brefily return to help the Abaranger, Hurricaneger and Gouraiger in battling Janiiga and the Evolien.
- Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger: Meet up in the Dekaranger VS Abaranger special to fight an Alienizer's attempt to resurrect Dezumozoria. In the beginning, Ryouga, Yukito, and Ranru were arrested by the Dekarangers for attacking the city, but they later found out that they were after an Alienizer who was trying to revive Dezumozorlya.

Invasion's Garden Evolien -
The Invasion's Garden Evolien (侵略の園エヴォリアン, Shinryaku no Sono Evorian?) are the Wicked Life Clan (Jameizoku), they came from Dino Earth. They dwelled within a castle-like structure, the Invasion's Garden Palace, before Dezumzorlya turned it into a giant cyclops-like host called DezumoGevirus to battle the Blastasaurs with while transferring itself into Geildon. The fortress was destroyed when AbarenOh and MaxOhJa seemingly sacrificed themselves (with Ryouga and Yukito inside both respective cockpits), but survived by burrowing underground. Notes 1 "Bakuryuu (爆竜, Bakuryū?)" when literally translated means "Blast Dragon." This is actually a portmanteau of the Japanese words "baku (爆, baku?)" which means "blast" and "kyouryuu (恐竜, kyōryū?)" which means "dinosaur" (the motif of the series). In English, this roughly translates into "Blastasaur," a portmanteau of "blast" and "dinosaur." 2 The name "Abaranger" is a portmanteau of Abare (in the show, an acronym that stands for Attack Bandit Resistance; in Japanese, the term "abare" also means "riot", "rage", or "outburst" among other translations) and Ranger, so the romanization can be either Abaranger or Abarenger.
