Balawaristan is another name for the Pakistani controlled regions of Gilgit and Chitral (commonly called the Northern Areas). The Pakistani controlled region of Baltistan; and Indian controlled Ladakh (including Kargil) are also considered to be a part of Balawaristan by the nationalist parties of Gilgit. However, the majority of people in Baltistan, Ladakh and Kargil maintain that historically Baltistan, Ladakh and Kargil are not part of Balawaristan. Gilgit is a region in the Northern Areas of Pakistan, bordering the Chinese region of Xinjiang. ... ISI’s main role in Balawaristan (Pakistan Occupied Gilgit Baltistan), PoK and even Pakistan and elsewhere is to brain wash the innocent Wahabi un-employeed youth for terrorism.
