Baillieston is the most easterly suburb of Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland.

It lies on the A89 corridor, between the town of Coatbridge, and the Glasgow suburb of Shettleston. This corridor once formed the only route between Glasgow and Edinburgh, which has long since been replaced by the A8 and M8 motorway.
