Balmoral is a vibrant inner city suburb of Auckland, New Zealand that is bordered by Mt Eden, Epsom, Mt. Roskill and Sandringham and is located approximately 5 km from the centre of Auckland. The central focus of Balmoral are the Asian restaurants that dominate the shopping area around the Balmoral and Dominion Road intersection. These restaurants have a reputation for producing great food at very reasonable prices.


Should Auckland decide to establish a Chinatown similar to that of other major cities (e.g. Sydney, London, New York) then Balmoral is a solid candidate. With it's predominantly asian restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and shopping community it is an ideal choice.


Potters Park is also located at the Balmoral intersection. The drawcards for Potters Park are:

The Balmoral Show takes place in the Kings Hall show-ground on the outskirts of Belfast in Northern Ireland and is a major agricultural show which takes place every year.
