Bandar Imam Khomeini (Persian بندرامام خمینی) is a port city on the Persian Gulf in the Khuzestan province in southwestern Iran. Before the 1979 Iranian Revolution, it was known as Bandar Shahpur. It is named after Ayatollah Seyyed Ruhollah Khomeini.
