Located at kilometer 15 Cheras-Kajang Expressway. A new township developed by UDA Land (Central)Sdn Bhd (previously UDAPEC Sdn Bhd). Consist of residential, and commercial area. This township can be reached from Kuala Lumpur via Cheras-Kajang Expressway (Exit 174)or via SILK Highway. Bandar Tun Hussein Onn covers an area of 750 acres at former Cheras Estate, Selangor. In 1990, Urban Development Authority (UDA) started developing of housing estate with a town centre to cater for the southern Cheras region. The township is an integrated town centre, town park and residential components which aimed to a development within a park. The housing types ranged from high-cost units such as individual detached lots, bungalow and condominiums to low-cost flats. These were planned within a neighbourhood framework, each with its own identity with supporting facilities that were easily access and within walking distance. As high quality environment was the prime objective, the natural hilly and undulating characteristic of the site was retained as much as possible and green areas are provided throughout the area. Current facilities including, primary school (Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Tun Hussein Onn and Selokah Kebangsaan Bandar Tun Hussein Onn 2), secondary school (Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, surau, petrol station (Petronas)and shoplots. To enhance this, a 50-acre town park with a 19-acre lake was created in the centre of the township. Bandar Tun Hussein Onn was named as a tribute to Malaysia third Prime Minister, the late Tun Hussein Onn. Tun Hussein Onn (1922-1990) was the third Prime Minister of Malaysia, ruling from 1976 to 1981. ...
