Bao'an District (Chinese: 宝安, pinyin: Bǎo Ān) is one of the six districts comprising Shenzhen, a major economic city in Guangdong Province, China. It is one of two districts lying outside the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, alongside Longgang. With 5 million people, Bao'an is Shenzhen's largest district. Pinyin (Chinese: 拼音, pÄ«nyÄ«n) literally means join (together) sounds (a less literal translation being phoneticize, spell or transcription) in Chinese and usually refers to HànyÇ” PÄ«nyÄ«n (汉语拼音, literal meaning: Han language pinyin), which is a system of romanization (phonemic notation and transcription to Roman script) for Standard...
