Barajevo (Барајево) is one of Belgrade's 17 municipalities. Barajevo has 25,000 inhabitants and covers 21,312 ha of ground. Multitude of springs on the teritory of this municipality gave its name - according to old story, once it was said: "bara je ovo" (this is a pond).
