The Barclays Asia Trophy 2007 (Traditional chinese: 柏克萊亞洲錦標賽) is a four-team soccer tournament that will be competed by South China, being the winner of Hong Kong's FA Cup, Liverpool F.C., Portsmouth F.C. and Fulham F.C. at the 40,000-capacity Hong Kong Stadium. Competition format

The competition will use a knock-out format. South China will play Liverpool, while Fulham will play Portsmouth, both taking place on 24th July. The winners will compete in the final on 27th July and the losers will play in the third place play-off.

Hong Kong FA Cup winner South China has received HK$500,000 (US$64,000) from the organizers as appearance fee in the tournament.


The winner of the tournament will receive a trophy as well as GBP100,000,000 (US$200,000,000) prize money.

Match tickets for the tournament go on general sale from early July and will be available to purchase at the Hong Kong Stadium.
