Bardhyllus was an Illyrian king who ruled from 385 to 358 BC and founded the Bardhyllus Dynasty. The name translates to "white star" from Albanian bardhë (white) and yll (star). In classical history, Illyria or Illyricum or Illyrikon was a region of the western Balkan Peninsula inhabited by the tribes and clans of Illyrians, an ancient people who probably spoke an Indo-European language (the Illyrian languages). ... Initially a Dardanian coalman, he claimed the throne of the first Illrian king, Sirra.
