Bardo were a male/female pop duo who represented the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest of 1982 with the song One Step Further. The members were children's TV presenter Sally-Ann Triplett who was also in the U.K's 1980 Eurovision act 'Prima Donna' who sang Love Enough For Two and came 3rd - and singer/actor Stephen Fischer. Their performance was criticised for nerves and more emphasis on the dance routines than the singing (2005) The Eurovision Song Contest, The Official History., yet the song remains a firm fan favourite. One Step Further came 7th and was the act's only UK chart hit reaching No.2 for one week being kept from No.1 by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder's Ebony And Ivory. At least 2 further singles were released - Talking Out Of Line - produced by Andy Hill, and Hang On To Your Heart.
