During the lead-up days in Les Gets, Barel and the rest of his teammates were aided by multiple video cameras that allowed them to watch overlaid replays of their runs to help decide about line choices.
Besides Barel's win, the French swept the top two places in the junior men's race, and were second and third in the junior women's DH event.
