Plot Summary
Cody, his sister Abby, her best friend Marcella, and Fig (their baby brother) are left by their parents on their grandparents' farm. After a game of keep-away started by Cody, Barney the purple dinosaur soon appears to entertain them. Cody doesn't believe in Barney at first, as he claims that imagination is kids stuff to his sister and her and told Barney that "real dinosaurs don't talk and real dinosaurs don't laugh." That night, Cody wishes for a real adventure for that summer, something no one has done before. A shooting star deposits a large colorful egg, which is accidentally knocked onto a birdseed truck by Cody and is carted off. Barney and kids begin their adventure to recover it through a parade, a fancy restaurant, a circus and even in the sky from a collector on a balloon. After they returned it to the barn, the egg finally hatched. It was a koala-like dream maker named Twinken. He shows everyone Abby's dream and then Barney's, which is none other than a special time, a special place and sharing it with the people he loves.
