The Aldi Campaign
Barnston Locals have recently battled against the supermarket company Aldi in an attempt to stop the transfer of goods by forty four tonne lorries down the highly prestigous Chester High Road. The devilish and evil dictators of the Aldi Company still continued to carry out this route of transfer, depsite fierce opposition by numerous militia groups in the Barnston Area. The 'Conservation Society' or 'Barnston Militia' as its infamous name, was not able to overthrow this decision and so summoned many locals using the 'Barn Horn', not used in over 350 years, until the 13th April 2005. The campaign still goes on to this day. // ALDI is a supermarket chain based in Germany. ...

Local Rivalry Barnston has had a local rivalry with Gayton, a nearby town. In the 19th century, 'Barnston Militia' had a hostile incident with locals from Gayton. Gayton still remains to this a day a highly inbred town and problems still persist between the two areas. As Barnston had plentiful fields for farming, the inbred 'Gays', as the locals are known from Gayton, became jealous due to their lack of grass and low quality village area. And tried to take control of the farming land but the heroic Barnstonians won through in the end. 2009 will mark the 200th Anniversary of the famous "Get off my land" battle in which over four sheep lost their lives and to commemorate the end of the battle a Malcolm Glazer-esque manakin representing Alexander Gaytonious (the leader of the village at the time) shall be burned.
