The Earldom of Granville has been created twice: once in the Peerage of Great Britain and once in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. The first creation was in favour of Grace Carteret, 2nd Baroness Carteret, but that title became extinct when the third Earl died without heirs. The second creation was in 1833 for Lord Granville Leveson-Gower. Subsidiary titles held by the Earl include: Viscount Granville (created 1815) and Baron Leveson (1833). The Peerage of Great Britain comprises all extant peerages created in the Kingdom of Great Britain after the Act of Union 1707 but before the Act of Union 1800. ...
