Encyclopedia > Baron Lismore

The title of Baron Lismore was created in the Peerage of Ireland in 1785. The 2nd Baron was created Viscount Lismore in 1806 and was made Baron Lismore in the Peerage of the United Kingdom in 1838. The peerages became extinct upon the death of the third Viscount in 1898.


Barons Lismore (1785)

  • Cornelius O'Callaghan, 1st Baron Lismore (1741_1797)
  • Cornelius O'Callaghan, 2nd Baron Lismore (1775_1857) (became Viscount in 1806)

Viscounts Lismore (1806)

  • Cornelius O'Callaghan, 1st Viscount Lismore (1775_1857)
  • George Ponsonby O'Callaghan, 2nd Viscount Lismore (1815-1898)
