Patricia Scotland, Baroness Scotland of Asthal, PC, is a barrister and junior minister in the United Kingdom.


She was made a life peer for the Labour Party in 1997 and was made Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1999. In 2001 she became a junior minister at the Lord Chancellor's Department. In 2003 she was made Minister of State for the Criminal Justice system and Law Reform at the Home Office.
