Barrie Lynch is the current councillor of Coquitlam. Barrie has been a resident of Coquitlam since 1975. He is the recipient of the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal. Barrie is a former Justice of the Peace with the Provincial Court of BC. Barrie is a Certified Association Executive and a Registered Parliamentarian. He is a Graduate of Douglas College in Criminal Justice Studies, Criminology, and General Business. Barrie is a Graduate of Simon Fraser University Bachelor of General Studies. He was first elected to Council in 2002. Formerly, Barrie was the Chair of the Liveable & Leisure Services Standing Committee, Chair of the Library Board, Chair of the Olympic Organizing Task Force, and Coquitlam Representative on the GVRD Labour Relations Bureau. He also served as Chair of the Heritage Advisory Committee and Council Representative on Places Des Arts. Coquitlam is a mid-sized city in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada, bordering the cities of Burnaby, New Westminster, Port Moody, and Port Coquitlam. ...
