Barrio Fino, Daddy Yankee's third solo album, was released on July 13, 2004. This album went on to sell more than a 1,000,000 copies between Puerto Rico and the U.S. alone, selling many more in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and Latin America, which consolidated him as the biggest exponent of reggaeton music. This album featured contributions by Wisin y Yandel, Andy Montañez, Zion y Lennox among others. The tracks were produced by Luny Tunes, DJ Nelson, DJ Urba, Monserrate, Fido, Eliel, Nelly, Echo, Diesel and others. Most of the lyrics were written by Daddy Yankee himself, and La Gasolina being a collaboration between Raymond and Eddie Dee. The album was praised by press and fans alike as being his most complete album to date, combining Arabic, Salsa and Mexican styles and rhythms with the traditional reggaeton sounds.
