Dr. Barron Lerner is a physician and historian who teaches at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He wrote a book about the history of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment in twentieth century America.


He was interviewed by Terry Gross on NPR's "Fresh Air" on May 24, 2001. It is available for listening on NPR's website at the link below.
