Basford East Basford West Action Group (923 words)
BASFORD is a tiny hamlet to the south of Crewe in Cheshire that lies in a conspicuous belt of open green space between the Crewe urban area and the southern villages of Shavington-cum-Gresty, Hough and Weston.
Basford East is the land to the east of the West-Coast Main Line as far as the boundary with the Duchy of Lancaster land near Crewe Hall.
Basford West is the land to the east of Crewe Road, Gresty, and as far as the sidings at Basford Hall.

At the basement Basford A and Basford D are both doomed in Division 1 and 3 respectively, whilst it is not looking good for both Stone B and Westlands in Division 2.
Basford have what appears to be the easier fixture as they entertain rock bottom Abbey View B, whilst Stone have a tricky trip to Abbey View A to negotiate.
Basford ladies are on course for the ladies division 1 championship, and in the process are showing the Basford blokes how it should be done, who are having an exceedingly torrid time - their A and D teams have a combined record of played 15 lost 15.
