Engineering Works

During May and November 2006 the station was closed at weekends to allow for junction renewal and signalling works, similar to the works which took place near Woking railway station during December 2005. Further closures for the benefit of engineering works are planned for Spring 2007. The works include moving the signal box, and junction renewal works to the West of England Main Line.
