Basshunter is managed by former Warner Music A&R agent Henrik Uhlman, and is represented in the United States by Mayar Zokaei. Biography
Jonas Erik Altberg, aka Basshunter, was born December 22, 1984 in Halmstad, Sweden. He lived with his parents and younger brother near Tylösand, a famous Swedish beach. He started to produce music in 1999 with the computer program Fruity Loops, and released his first album, The Bassmachine, through his own home page in 2004. His interest in music became greater as he progressed. After several demo songs spread over the Internet, he started to get phone calls from dance clubs that wanted to hire him as a DJ. In April 2006, he signed his first real contract with Warner Music. He released his first single, "Boten Anna", in Scandinavia and it became a hit instantly. Boten Anna was the first ever Swedish language song to make number 1 on the Dutch Top 40 Chart, and the single Now You're Gone which was an english remake of "Boten Anna" with rewritten lyrics, was number 1 on the UK Singles Chart in 2008. When Basshunter reached 50,000 friends on MySpace he celebrated by releasing "Beer in the Bar - Myspace edit" and chatting via webcam with his MySpace friends through MSN Messenger. Afterwards he mentioned his computer had crashed due to the high number of people he was chatting with. As of 2007, Basshunter has been working on his new album which is rumored to be released around May/June 2008. He has so released a small clip of "Camilla", and "I Can Walk On Water, I Can Fly" somehow found its way onto the internet, though it was not meant to be released yet. is the 356th day of the year (357th in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. ...

Please Don't Go was officially cancelled in an email to subscribers of the Hard2Beat newsletter. It read "Although we had planned to release ‘Please Don’t Go’ as Basshunter’s next single there have been some technical complications (all very boring, we won’t go into them here!), which have meant that we will be changing the single to something totally different but a bit more familiar to any die hard Basshunter fan. The new single will in fact be ‘All I Ever Wanted’ which you will probably know as the music behind Dota. Basshunter has re-sung the vocals in English with brand new lyrics especially for the UK release!". They also revealed that "the Basshunter Album and new single are well and truly on its way! The Album is going to be a UK rework of the very best Basshunter material but with a few twists and turns".
