The Americans planned and tried to demolish the entire area using there artillery such as 12-pound shell guns and a massive 5-and-a-half inch motras which can technically cause horrific damage to walls and earthworks.
The 13th British Regiment qucikly responded by bombarding the Americans with Congreve Rockets and fast rifle fire to disable any such formidable attack. It finally payed off after a long and exhausting battle in which the British thought a miracle had occured.
The Americans now realising there decisive defeat was forced to withdraw and retreat from the are suffering light casualties.
