The battle of St. Fagans was a battle in the Second English Civil war (1648). In April parlimentary troops in Wales, who had not been paid in a long time, staged a royalist rebellion. The Earl of Pembroke was the rebel leader. In may Cromwell marched into Wales and engaged the rebels near St. Fagans. after 3 hours of hard fighting Cromwell led a calvary charge and routed the rebels. Cromwell then went on to siege Pembroke.
