The Battle of the Kondurcha River was the first major battle of Tokhtamysh-Timur War. It took place at the Kondurcha River, Bulgar Ulus of Golden Horde, in what is today Samara Oblast of Russia. Tokhtamysh cavalry tried to encircle Timur's army from flanks. However, Central Asian army withstood an assault and it's sudden frontal attack put Hordians to flight.
