History
Bayside formed in the winter of 2000. They self released a 5 song demo and signed to Dying Wish Records to issue their first release, Long Stories Short EP, in 2001. The band also released a split with Name Taken in 2003 on the same label before signing to the much larger Victory Records later that year. Anthony still lives in Bayside with his wife, while the other members live in the nearby Douglaston area. According to the January, 2008 edition of Alternative Press, Bayside plan to have another album out sometime in 2008. Anthony Raneri stated that this album will have a more punk sound. In a MySpace bulletin, the band announced that they will head into the studio soon to record a new album, tentatively titled "Shudder," for a fall 2008 release. They will also release a Gold Edition Rerelease of their album "The Walking Wounded" on July 22,2008. This album will contain a behind-the-scenes DVD, acoustic recordings, and various other bonus features.
