Beatmasters is a team of music writers and producers similar to Stock Aitken Waterman who were highly successful in the United Kingdom in the late 1980's and early 1990's. They focused specifically on dance music and appealed to several subgenres, particularly house music. Amanda Glanfield and Paul Carter were both veterans of the commercial jingle industry and were introduced to Richard Walmsley. Together they formed a highly successful production trio, working with Betty Boo, The Cookie Crew, P.P. Arnold, Yazz and Merlin MC.
