Unfortuantely he was involved in a car accident late in 2005 which limited his impact on the field, and struggled in his two games late in the season. His first game for 2007 came in round 17 against North Melbourne Football Club at Launceston's Aurora Stadium. Hawthorn struggled that match, as three players were late withdrawals.
