Location of Bedford Township within Monroe County. Bedford Township is a civil township of Monroe County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of March 1, 2006, the Southest Michigan Council of Governments estimated the township population at 31,321. The unincorporated communities of Temperance, Lambertville, and Samaria are located within the township. The township lies directly to the north of Toledo, Ohio, sharing it's entire southern boundary with the northern boundary of Toledo. Much of the township is also included as part of the U.S. Census Bureau's Toledo Urban Area statistical definitions.
