Beechcraft - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (374 words)
The Beech Aircraft Corporation, now the Beechcraft Division of Raytheon, is a manufacturer of general aviation and military aircraft, ranging from light single engine aircraft to business jets and light military transports.
Beechcraft was founded in 1932 by Walter H. Beech and his wife Olive Ann.
This was a very unpopular move among the Beechcraft faithful and in 2002 the merger decision was reversed, reviving Beechcraft as a brand.
Airliners.net: Beech 60 Duke (455 words)
Beechcraft built 584 Dukes between 1968 and 1982, including 113 60s, 121 A60s and 350 B60s.
Between the Beech Baron and Queen Air in size, performance and general capabilities, the Duke was a pioneer in the pressurised high performance light business twin class.
Beechcraft began design work on its new Model 60 in early 1965, with the first flight of the prototype occurring the following year on December 29.
