Behind Crimson Eyes are an Australian rock band from Melbourne, Victoria. Their debut album attempted a more mainstream direction compared to their previous two EP releases, featuring heavy rock mixed with elements of the mainstream idea of emo, screamo, Pop and, allegedly, metal. Since forming in 2004, they have played the Melbourne leg of the Taste of Chaos tour in 2005, after which they sold out all but one show on their national headline tour[verification needed], clocking up over 150 shows in 2005. An even larger group of obsessed fans followed, and before long Behind Crimson Eyes were selling out 600 room shows in their hometown, and touring Australia with a host of international bands that have helped define punk music worldwide (New Found Glory, Silverstein, From Autumn to Ashes, Rufio).
And with Behind Crimson Eyes ability to appeal to everyone from the most aggressive metal and hardcore fans to the most pop friendly alternative rockers, it seems their ever-growing fanbase hasn’t even nearly reached its limits.
And so, with a new legion of fans and supporters, Behind Crimson Eyes (or "BCE" as they are affectionately referred to) have taken advantage of the spotlight and used it to showcase just what 8 months of solid touring has done for the band.
