The Communication University of China (Simplified Chinese: 中国传媒大学) is a university in China. It was formerly known as the Beijing Broadcasting Institute (北京广播学院, pinyin: bei jing guang bo xue yuan) (or Beijing Broadcasting University) is located in Dingfuzhuang, just outside of the Eastern 5th Ring Road in Eastern Beijing. It is easily accessible via car or via Beijing subwayBatong line, with the stop "Guangboxueyuan" (广播学院) just next to the institute.
Extensive topics relating to broadcasting, such as hosting and presenting, news, media, animation, production of movies, and related TV technologies are taught there.
The university is under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Noted CCTV broadcasters, such as Luo Jing (of 7 o'clock news fame), Hai Xia, and presenters from Phoenix Television (Hong Kong), such as Chen Luyu and Dong Jiayao, graduated from the university. As a result, its recognition in the Chinese media circle is very prominent.
Bachelor, master and doctor's degrees are handed out to graduates.
The foreign student population is approximately 200.

JOPLIN, M0 (SNS) - At the invitation of the BeijingBroadcastingInstitute, Beijing, China, three faculty and staff members at Missouri Southern State College are traveling to Beijing to present a paper at a conference on Internet Communication, to be held April 29-30.
Chad Stebbins, Director of the Institute of International Studies at the College, will be attending the conference along with Ward Bryant, assistant professor of communications, and Stephanie Davis Goad, project coordinator for the Missouri Multicultural Network Web site, a project of the Institute of International Studies.
The paper, which will be published by the BeijingBroadcastingInstitute along with the papers of the other more than 100 international scholars, was to include a title page with keywords in English, an index, abstract and bibliography.
The campus, known as "Yan Yuan"-- the gardens of Yan, is situated at the northeast of the Haidian District at the western suburbs of Beijing.
At present, Peking university has 45 research institutes and 52 research centres, and there are 2 national engineering research centres, 42 key national disciplines, 5 national key laboratories, and 6 national key laboratories and 4 state special laboratories are still under construction.
The university has made an effective combination of the research on important scientific issues with the training of personnel with high level specialized knowledge and professional skill as demanded by the country's socialist modernization.
