The Ottawa Carleton district school board is a group of 14 trustees hired to oversee education in the Ottawa-Carleton region of Ontario. There is one trustee for each of the 12 school zones and 2 student trustees. Each year, this board elects one of their members to be the chair and another to be the vice-chair. The board had a budget of $576.7 million for the 2004-2005 school year.
