Plot
The USS Tiger Shark, on patrol in the Atlantic in 1943, is ordered to pickup survivors spotted adrift by a British patrol plane. After retrieving the three lone survivors of a British hospital ship that was torpedoed several days earlier, the Tiger Shark must then avoid a German ship attempting to find and destroy her. Meanwhile, eerie events begin to manifest themselves and seem to be related to the recent demise of the previous skipper, Lieutenant Commander Winters
Production Notes - The producers used the USS Silversides (SS-236), a WW II submarine based in Muskegon, Michigan, for exteriors of the "USS Tiger Shark." The sub was towed out into Lake Michigan.

Trivia - Despite the use of a real World War 2 Submarine, massive historical inaccuracies still appear in the film, such as the use of SCUBA gear in 1943, and the sub being equipped with an air lock.
