Bemidji State University is a public Minnesota state university in Bemidji, Minnesota on the shores of Lake Bemidji. It is a part of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU). BSU was founded in 1919 as Bemidji State Normal School. The name was later changed to Bemidji State College, and finally later to Bemidji State University. The school sports teams are called the Beavers and compete in NCAA Division II. The Beavers are members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in all sports, except for hockey, where they compete at the Division I level in the College Hockey America conference. Bemidji is a city located in Beltrami County, Minnesota. ...
