In this variation, the game continues 7....Bxf1 8.Kxf1 g6 9.g3 Bg7 10.Kg2. Black is down a pawn but has a better pawn structure and is ahead in development. With Black's queenside pawns out of the way, Black may gain space and mobility with rooks on a8 and b8 further weakening White's queenside and making it difficult for White to mount an attack.
