History The 1201FP was the only tactical shotgun made by Beretta and was discontinued in the early 2000s.
Design The 1201 is a recoil operated semi-automatic chambered for either 2 3/4" or 3" shells. The receiver is made of unstressed aluminum for strength and durability. Stocks and handguards are reinforced polymer. The design is similar to the Benelli Super 90 and some parts are interchangeable.
