Bergen Community College is an accredited, co-educational, two-year, public, community college located in Bergen County, New Jersey. Its primary campus is in Paramus. Founded in 1965, it enrolls more than 14,000 students in Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Associate in Applied Science degree programs, and certificate programs. Another 10,000 students are enrolled in non-credit, professional development courses through the Division of Continuing Education. The Philip J. Ciarco Learning Center in Hackensack, offers adult basic skills, English as a Second Language, non-credit, and credit courses. Generally, accreditation is the process by which a facility becomes officially certified as providing services of a reasonably good quality, so that the public can trust in the quality of its services. ...
