The Berger Blanc Suise, more commonly known as the White German Shepherd was often considered a mutation of the German Shepherd Dog, until recently when it was finally considered a separate breed after years of campaigning from White Shepherd enthusiasts.
The Berger Blanc Suisse is descended from the German Shepherd Dog, and has nearly the same standard, excepting the colour of its coat.
To differentiate the Dog from an albino, each member of the breed should have dark eyes and nails and fl pigmentation on the: lips, eyelids, pads of the feet and nose.
