The Most Noble Bernard Edward Fitzalan-Howard, 12th Duke of Norfolk, KG, was born 21 November 1765, the son of Henry Howard (1713-1787), a descendant of Sr. Henry Frederick Howard 22nd Earl of Arundel, and Juliana Molyneux (1749-1808). Bernard Howard succeeded to the title of Duke of Norfolk in 1815, upon the death of Charles Howard, 11th Duke of Norfolk.
