Biography

Bernice Liu was born and raised in Prince Rupert, British Columbia (Canada). Her career in the Hong Kong entertainment industry kick started in 2001 when she was the winner of the Miss Chinese Vancouver pageant. Bernice attended the University of British Columbia prior to winning. She went on to represent Vancouver in Hong Kong at the Miss Chinese International pageant in 2001. She won the judges over with her beautiful dancing which is what she is known for by some Hong Kongers. After winning her latest pageant, she signed a contract with Hong Kong's leading TV company, TVB. Initially she refused for she wanted to complete her education, but after the support from her peers, she joined TVB. Liu has also hopes of becoming a singer having some experience with over 2 TVB themesongs and contributing in over 3 TV soundtracks and albums. She contributed to the Love Bond sub-themesong (心花放) and most recently sang the themesong for the TVB series, Into Thin Air called "實情" (Truth) which she also got 2 awards for. Now, she has a new song for the upcoming series "突圍行動" (Brink of Law) called "分手" (Break up) which is going to be in TVB's new CD, 金牌女兒紅 (All About Women). A theme song for her latest series, "凶城計中計" (Slicing of the Demon) was released. Bernice came through as a dark horse candidate in snagging the #2 spot among TVB's top-earning artists of 2006.
