Bernabé "Bernie" Williams Figueroa (born September 13, 1968 in San Juan, Puerto Rico) is a center fielder in Major League Baseball who was one of the top outfielders of the late 1990s. Known for his keen batting eye and consistency, Williams has played his entire career (1991_present) with the New York Yankees.

Williams took over as the regular Yankees center fielder in 1993, and helped lead the team to World Series championships in 1996 and 1998-2000, as well as to American League pennants in 2001 and 2003. Among his achievements, Williams led the AL in batting average in 1998 (hitting .339), and was named the American League Championship Series Most Valuable Player in 1996. Despite a reputation for a relatively weak throwing arm, Williams also won the Gold Glove for his center field play in 1997_2000. He has played in five All-Star Games.

Williams is also a guitar player and released his first album in July 2003.
