Prisons and correctional facilities in Western Australia are managed by the Department of Justice.
Immigration detention centres are used to house people who are detained under Australia’s policy of mandatory detention and the Pacific Solution.
Most facilities are operated by Australasian Correctional Management under contract from the Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA).

Berrima Correctional Centre is a medium/minimum security institution for females situated in the Southern Tablelands, 125km south-west of Sydney and 14km from Mittagong.
The Correctional Centre is also responsible for the administration of periodic detention centres at Wollongong and Campbelltown.
Berrima is signposted from the surrounding towns of Mittagong, Bowral and Moss Vale.
