Bessie Barriscale

Bessie Barriscale (born Elizabeth Barry Scale) (30 September 1884 - 30 June 1965) was a Silent-screen actress, and a major star for producer Thomas Ince in the late 1910s. She began her film career in 1913, and worked intensively for New York Motion Picture Company and Triangle Film Corporation, (among other studios) until she announced her retirement in the early 1930's. Later, she would make some scattered returns, usually cast as somebody's mother or maid. Barriscale was married to actor and film director, Howard C. Hickman.
