Biography
Boze was born and grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana. She is the daughter of the late Dr. Leroy Vogel a cultural attache to post-war Germany and Chief Academic Officer of Centenary College of Louisiana and Betty Garrett Vogel McDonald a travel writer, broadcaster and community volunteer. She is also the step-daughter of the late Paul Cranford McDonald former President of the Murphy Oil Company Canada. She is the mother of three children. Her oldest son, Christopher Boze, is in flight school and lives in Anchorage, Alaska; her daughter Broox Garrett Vogel Boze is in a doctoral program in zoology at Colorado State University; and her youngest son Lee-Gray Boze is a senior at the University of Montana studying geology and specializing in caves. From 1997-2005 she chaired the Women Administrators in Management Education (the women's affinity group) of the Association for the Advancement of Colleges and Schools of Business.[17] Dr. Boze was Co-Director of the Texas Ports and Waterways Commission of the Texas Transportation Institute,[18] on the boards of Success by Six in Brownsville, TX, [19] Girl Scouts of the USA (Texas).
