Lennox first played college basketball at Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas, where her team won the Junior College National Championship during the 1996-1997 season. Lennox later went to Louisiana Tech University, and graduated there in 2000. Lennox never quite got used to the mask she had to wear to protect her fragile nose, and was happy to shed it midway through July.
