Bevel Lemelisk is a character in the Star Wars Expanded Universe who is credited in several sources with being the inventor and primary designer of the Death Star. Lemelisk's role in the Death Star construction is apparently contradicted, however, in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones when the Death Star is shown to have been created by the Geonosians. Some Star Wars sources, however, have attempted to explain Lemelisk's role, even with the Genosian contradiction. As it is not made clear what was the exact role of the Geonosians in the Death Star design and construction, this leaves some space for the speculation on where Lemelisk did participate. Lemelisk could have had relations with the Geonosians and possibly had worked together on the plans, supervised them, or even had ordered them to complete his initial designs.

Lemelisk appeared in the novel Darksaber, where he created an adaption of the Death Star superlaser with the same name as the book. The Darksaber was a fictional weapon from the Star Wars Expanded Universe. ...

In Darksaber, it is revealed that Emperor Palpatine had Lemelisk executed numerous times, usually in very painful circumstances, but continually made clones of the scientist, and used The Force to shove Lemelisk's soul into this cloned body before he would have died. Palpatine does this after every failure by the Death Star (i.e., the vent design flaw that allowed it to be destroyed at the Battle of Yavin). Bevel Lemelisk minden bizonnyal a galaxis egyik legzseniálisabb lángelméje.
Lemelisk idővel a galaxis legjobb űrállomás-tervezőjévé vált.
